Bath Literature Festival thrilled to announce not one, but TWO bestselling authors getting together to talk about the deliciously dark art of creating fantasy and horror.
Joe Hill, the Sunday Times and New York Times bestselling author is launching his first novel in nine years, the much-anticipated King Sorrow, and has included Bath on his UK tour.
Joe will be joined on stage, Tuesday 4 November, by Bath-based fantasy writer Joe Abercrombie, for what promises to be an in-depth chat between two friends about their genre, loved by millions globally.
Joe Hill’s impressive back catalogue includes The Fireman, Heart Shaped Box and graphic book series Locke & Key. He comes to Bath following an extensive King Sorrow book tour in the States.
‘Joe Hill walks the tightrope between horror and fantasy with grace and menace. This is a tale infused with terror and hope.’ – The Sunday Times
‘King Sorrow: some promises should never be made . . .’
Readers who love a good tagline and a twisty thriller with a few nasty shocks, will savour this event, which takes place in a historic neo-Gothic church in Bath.
Joe Abercrombie’s most recent success is The Devils, the first in a series. He is also known for his First Law Trilogy – The Blade Itself, Before They Are Hanged and Last Argument of Kings – and for novels in the same world and the Shattered Sea trilogy. His books regularly feature in the Sunday Times and New York Times best-seller lists and have been published in 30 countries.
Joe Hill’s Bath event is on Tuesday 4 November, at 7pm, in Christ Church, Julian Road, Bath.
