Wiltshire Council is inviting parents and carers of children and young people experiencing Emotional Barriers to School Attendance (EBSA) to join a webinar this October, focused on ways to help them re-engage with their educational setting.
This session will offer practical advice, highlight available support, and give parents and carers the chance to ask questions directly to professionals.
The online meeting is scheduled for 2 October from 6pm to 7pm and will be held via Microsoft Teams. Participants are encouraged to download the Teams app in advance to ensure a smooth experience.
If you wish to attend, please sign up using the Survey Emotional Barriers to School Attendance (EBSA) webinar
Questions for the webinar can be added during the sign-up process. Please submit your questions by 5pm on Monday 30 September as any questions received after this date will not be answered in the webinar.
Cllr Jon Hubbard, Cabinet Member for SEND, said, “We know Emotional Barriers to School Attendance (EBSA) can be difficult not just for children and young people, but for their families too.
“This webinar is a chance to learn more about the support available for families of children struggling to attend school, chat with professionals and explore practical ways to help children feel safe, supported and ready to re-engage with learning.
“We want families to feel reassured that they’re not alone and that with the right help, children can begin to thrive in their educational setting again.”
