Why families will love it
-
These workshops are great for encouraging creativity in kids — glue, colour, light, all in a friendly, community environment.
-
It’s a calm craft activity which also builds toward something exciting: the lantern parade. Children get to see something they’ve made, glowing in the dark, as part of a bigger community celebration.
-
It’s affordable and accessible — you pick how much to contribute, and no need to bring anything but your imagination.
DOCA is the charity which runs a lot of free outdoor arts events in Devizes — things like the Carnival, International Street Festival, Colour Rush and, of course, the Lantern Parade at the Winter Festival.
It works with schools, community groups and families all year round.
