St Augustine’s Catholic College in Trowbridge is inviting families of children in Years 5 and 6 to its annual Open Evening on Thursday 2 October 2025.
The event, running from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, offers a chance to explore the College’s blend of academic success, inclusive ethos, and Catholic Lasallian values. Families will be welcomed by Headteacher Aidan Dowle and Student Leaders, with presentations at 6.00pm and 7.00pm in the School Hall.
Visitors can tour departments, meet staff and students, and take part in a wide range of activities – from science experiments and maths challenges to drama, music, and trampolining. A “Treasure Hunt passport” will encourage younger visitors to collect stickers across different subject areas.
Headteacher Mr Dowle said, “We are very proud of our College and look forward to showing families what makes St Augustine’s such a special place of learning. Our values put students at the centre of everything we do, nurturing their skills and talents so they can flourish both academically and personally.”
St Augustine’s is consistently praised for its high standards, strong outcomes at GCSE and A Level, and commitment to developing life-long learners. Ofsted has described the College’s ethos as one where, ‘The desire to provide educational opportunities which make individuals the best they can be drives all the school does.’
The Open Evening is designed to give prospective families a real sense of the school’s welcoming community, excellent teaching and vibrant extracurricular opportunities.
