Longleat is once again set to dazzle families this winter as The Festival of Light returns from 8 November 2025 to 11 January 2026, transforming the Wiltshire estate into a glowing wonderland of colour, creativity and festive fun.
This year’s theme, A Magical Adventure, invites visitors on an extraordinary journey around the world through spectacular lantern scenes inspired by some of the most beloved characters in British storytelling – including Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Morph.

From towering illuminated landmarks and glowing jungles to oceans and outer space, each scene has been hand-crafted by a team of specialist artists. Families can wander the 200-acre park as thousands of lanterns light up the evening skies, creating unforgettable photo moments at every turn.
Alongside the lantern trail, visitors can enjoy the Enchanted Christmas Tree Show, the Main Square’s festive market and the Winter Safari – where lions, tigers, wolves and more roam through the frosty parkland. The adventure continues with a boat trip across Half Mile Pond to spot hippos and sea lions, a ride on the Longleat Railway or a climb through the Adventure Castle and Hedge Maze.

Kerry Griffiths, Head of Events at Longleat, said, “The Festival of Light is our favourite time of year. It’s a chance to share the magic of Longleat with families from across the region and create those truly special Christmas memories.”

Tickets include entry to the lantern trail, safari, and attractions, with free parking on site. Advance booking is strongly recommended as peak dates often sell out.
The Festival of Light runs from 8 November 2025 to 11 January 2026 at Longleat, Wiltshire BA12 7NW.
