Hardenhuish School in Chippenham was alive with colour, creativity and community spirit during its annual Creative Week — a vibrant celebration of artistic expression that brought students and staff together in inspiring ways.
Across five days, lunchtimes and after-school sessions were transformed into hands-on creative hubs. Students explored screen printing, crafting bold layered designs with ink and mesh; experimented with tactile techniques in the wood workshop; and joined the thrilling Hardenhuish Art-Off — a live drawing showdown featuring artists from every year group, as well as members of staff.

The Art-Off proved to be one of the week’s highlights, as pencils flew and ideas flowed in an atmosphere filled with cheers and excitement. Four winners were chosen for their outstanding creativity, alongside two special commendations for pieces that captured the judges’ imagination.
What made the week particularly special was the sheer range of involvement. From seasoned artists to complete beginners, every student was encouraged to take part and explore their creative side. The school’s art spaces were filled with energy, laughter and enthusiasm as students discovered new ways to express themselves.

Mrs Dani Creed said, “Creative Week offered our young creatives an opportunity to try a broad range of fun and engaging experiences to explore new ways of expressing themselves. We had a brilliant week, awarded a huge range of fantastic prizes from our generous donors, culminating in our Hardenhuish Art-Off competition for students and staff, which created such a lovely buzz in school!”
The school has shared a gallery of photographs from the event, capturing the colour, energy and imagination of Creative Week — a true celebration of the creative spirit at Hardenhuish.
