ReMind UK has announced its post-diagnosis support programme for 2026, including new coffee morning socials, extended wellbeing courses and a wide range of creative and therapeutic activities taking place in Bath, Keynsham and Midsomer Norton. The charity will also offer regular carers’ information days and monthly events at popular community venues, including the Holburne Museum.

Since 2023, and with funding from the National Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund, St Monica Trust and Bath Boules, ReMind UK has delivered an ambitious programme designed to reduce loneliness, isolation and confusion among local families affected by dementia.

Last year alone, the charity ran five Chat, Make & Move wellbeing courses and twelve seasonal events, directly supporting 40% more people with a dementia diagnosis and their carers. Its free resources have reached thousands more across Bath and the surrounding areas.

Looking ahead, the charity is committed to supporting people in more isolated parts of Bath & North East Somerset. Its Guide to Living Well with Dementia, co-produced by people with lived experience, has already been downloaded 2,000 times and shared with hundreds of local organisations.

Melissa Hillier, CEO at ReMind UK, said, “We are excited to launch our 2026 programme of post diagnosis support activities for people living with early-stage dementia,” adding that the charity is now offering more ways than ever for people to connect and access support, with all activities designed to boost wellbeing, reduce isolation and create space for shared experiences.

For families wondering whether these sessions could help, Patricia Dwyer from Saltford shared her experience of joining a Chat, Make and Move wellbeing programme: “I was diagnosed with dementia about a year ago. ReMind UK’s wellbeing sessions have helped me a lot and I really look forward to them each week. The sessions are friendly, we learn a lot and I really appreciate the mental stimulation. Everyone’s really kind and helpful, we can just be ourselves and it makes me feel positive.”
