Families can enjoy some wonderfully cool Christmas fun this winter by taking part in the Trowbridge Snowman Trail, which runs across the town centre from Friday 12 December to Sunday 4 January.
A total of 32 individually decorated snowmen will be displayed in shops, cafés and venues across the town. There are some great prizes to be won for anyone who finds all 32 characters on the trail.
To enter, families simply add up the numbers displayed at each snowman location and email the total to email hidden; JavaScript is required. All correct entries will be entered into a prize draw offering prizes including two tickets to crafting workshops at Fun & Games Club, a Nature’s Sanctuary gift hamper, sports massages from Physiojo and vouchers from The Little Boutique, Serenity Beauty, SOMA Body Clinic, The Elevate Hub and De Creative Emporium.
Trail maps can be downloaded from the Trowbridge Chamber website. Printed copies are also available from the Trowbridge Information Centre, The Toy Shop in Castle Street and Roast & Toast Café in Market Street.
Families can follow the map around the historic wool milling town, discovering snowmen in independent cafés, a pet shop, toy shop, fashion boutique, circus school, gin distillery and arts and beauty venues. It’s also a great chance to pick up some last-minute Christmas gifts from local businesses.
Other highlights along the way include the newly reopened Old Town Hall Arts Centre, where visitors can view the beautifully restored ballroom, and Trowbridge Museum, which shares 1,000 years of local history. The museum is home to a very rare Spinning Jenny and a fascinating collection celebrating the town’s woollen cloth industry.
The final Trowbridge Weavers Market of 2025 takes place on Saturday 13 December from 10am–3pm, offering live music, street food and festive gifts from local makers.
