Families in Melksham will soon have a new early years option, with Little Lights nursery set to open at The Manor School in January 2026.
The new nursery will offer funded and non-funded places for children aged three and four, with a waiting list already open for younger children. The team aims to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and build confidence as they prepare for school life.
Little Lights will offer well-resourced indoor spaces and a high-quality outdoor learning environment, encouraging independence, curiosity and daily opportunities for active play.
Headteacher Michael Park said, “As headteacher, I am delighted to announce that we are opening Little Lights nursery because we want children in our community to have the very best start to their education. Our nursery will offer a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children can develop and thrive through rich, play-based learning and daily opportunities to mix with other children and teachers.”
He added, “In Little Lights, the children will be able to move confidently between well-resourced indoor spaces and an excellent outdoor environment, encouraging independence and curiosity. With such a strong foundation, your child will be exceptionally well prepared for starting school. Please contact the school for a visit and we look forward to welcoming you to Little Lights.”
The nursery has a planned admission number of 26 children, and applications are now open for the January 2026 intake of three and four-year-olds.
