More than 400 cyclists are expected to take part in a brand-new community cycling event coming to Wiltshire this spring, raising funds for local charities.
The inaugural Tour de Trowbridge will take place on Sunday 31 May 2026 and is being organised by Trowbridge Chamber CIC in partnership with Trowbridge Town Council.
Routes for all abilities
Designed as a fun, inclusive event, Tour de Trowbridge aims to bring together cyclists of all experience levels and create a new highlight in Wiltshire’s sporting calendar.
Riders will follow three professionally managed routes through the Wiltshire countryside, all starting and finishing at Trowbridge Park.
The 79-mile Grand Tour is aimed at experienced cyclists, while the 46-mile Wiltshire Ridge Ride offers a scenic intermediate challenge.
For those new to longer rides, the 25-mile Community Loop is suitable for most abilities.
All three routes will have staggered start times, with a coordinated finish to create a lively atmosphere in Trowbridge Park.
Delivered by experienced organisers
The event is being delivered in partnership with Iconic Cycling Events, which has organised similar rides in towns and cities including Oxford, Chester, Canterbury and Bath.
The Iconic team will oversee marshalling, rider safety, route planning and logistics to ensure a high-quality experience for all participants.
Supporting local charities
All profits from the event will be donated to Wiltshire charities, including Wiltshire & Bath Air Ambulance, St John Ambulance Wiltshire and Mayor of Trowbridge’s Charity Appeal.
Carey Tesler, Chair of the Trowbridge Chamber, said, “This exciting inaugural Tour de Trowbridge cycling event is the latest in a series of Chamber events designed to bring together local businesses with the wider community, to increase footfall and promote our County Town of Trowbridge as a great place to live and do business.”
Sponsorship and entry details
Businesses are invited to support the event through a range of sponsorship opportunities, from £200 supporter packages through to £5,000 title sponsorship.

Registration for the Tour de Trowbridge is now open, with rider places available via the event website. All cyclists who take part will receive a medal at the end of the day.
