The West Wiltshire Dance Festival is a long-running celebration of school dance, giving children the opportunity to perform on a professional stage and experience the buzz of a live theatre. Hosted at The Forum in Bath, the festival brings together hundreds of pupils each year, encouraging creativity, confidence and collaboration through dance.
Oak Class represented their school with pride, drawing loud applause for their polished and joyful routine. Their success was supported by a very special ‘secret weapon’ behind the scenes.
Their class teacher, Mr Macdonald, is a former professional dancer with the English National Ballet, and coached the pupils in the lead-up to the event. His expertise helped the children refine their technique while keeping the performance fun and accessible for everyone involved.
The evening was a memorable experience for pupils and families alike, and a brilliant example of how opportunities like the West Wiltshire Dance Festival can help children shine both on and off the stage.
