Families are in for a nostalgic treat this March as The Muppets take over the Kids Club at The Little Theatre Cinema in Bath.

From this month, Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang will be lighting up the big screen with a series of classic adventures, giving parents and children the chance to enjoy some of the most loved Muppet films together.

The Muppets Take Manhattan

Screenings include The Muppets Take Manhattan, which follows the troupe’s hilarious quest to make it big on Broadway, the space-age comedy Muppets from Space, and the globe-trotting caper Muppets Most Wanted. The original film, The Muppets, will also be shown as part of celebrations surrounding the 2026 revival of The Muppet Show.

The cinema is also inviting crafty film fans to its special Muppet Craft Club on Sunday 29 March at 11am. During the screening of The Muppets, the lights will be kept low so visitors can bring along their own non-messy craft projects to work on while enjoying the film.

Muppets From Space

For families looking for a more accessible cinema experience, a relaxed screening of Muppets from Space will take place on Sunday 15 March. These screenings are designed for audiences who may benefit from a more supportive environment, including neuro-divergent visitors.

During the relaxed showing, the lights remain slightly raised, the volume is reduced and viewers are free to move around the auditorium if they wish.

The Gruffalo

Little ones are also well catered for. The cinema’s popular Toddler Time sessions continue every Tuesday at 11am, with a special screening of the beloved children’s classic The Gruffalo on Tuesday 31 March to mark the start of the Easter holidays.

Parents with babies can enjoy the return of the cinema’s Watch with Baby screenings too. These relaxed showings are designed for babies under one and their carers, with low lighting, reduced sound and baby-friendly facilities available.

Arco

Another highlight for families arrives on Mother’s Day, Sunday 15 March, with a special preview of the animated adventure Arco from Picturehouse Entertainment.

Featuring a star-studded voice cast including Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Flea and Andy Samberg, the film promises a magical story about hope, friendship and time travel.

The story follows a 10-year-old boy from a peaceful future who accidentally travels back to the year 2075, where he discovers a world in trouble. After befriending a young girl named Iris and her robot caretaker Mikki, the trio set out on a mission to help Arco return home.

With classic characters, relaxed screenings and family-friendly events throughout the rest of March, The Little Theatre Cinema is promising plenty of big-screen fun for Bath families.
