Keevil School pupils enjoy new Energy Wall thanks to PTA fundraising

Keevil School pupils are benefiting from a new interactive Energy Wall funded by the PTA, promoting active learning, teamwork and sustainability.

Pupils at Keevil Primary School are enjoying an innovative new Energy Wall in their playground thanks to fundraising by the Friends of Keevil School (FoKS), the school’s parent teacher association.

The interactive wall combines physical activity with learning through a range of light-up games designed to encourage movement, coordination and teamwork, while also supporting areas of the curriculum including Phonics and Maths.

Powered through movement, the Energy Wall also helps children learn about sustainability and environmental awareness in a practical and engaging way, supporting the school’s wider commitment to environmental education.

The installation marks a significant milestone for the Acorn Education Trust, as it is the first Energy Wall within the trust and the first of its kind in Wiltshire.

Funds for the project were raised entirely by FoKS, whose ongoing fundraising supports enrichment opportunities for pupils and improvements to the school environment.

The project also highlights the success of the school’s annual Scarecrow Trail, a popular family event organised by FoKS to raise money for school projects. This year’s Scarecrow Trail will take place on 16 and 17 May 2026, with funds going towards a new all-weather outdoor learning space and shelter for the school’s forest school field.

Caroline Noonan, Chair of FoKS, said, “As a PTA, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the children’s experience at school. The Energy Wall is something really special, it gets them moving while supporting their learning and understanding of the importance of sustainability.

“Events like our Scarecrow Trail make projects like this possible and this year we’re excited to be raising funds for an outdoor learning shelter.”

Rob Price, CEO of the Acorn Education Trust, said, “We are delighted to see Keevil School leading the way with the introduction of the Energy Wall. Innovative resources like this support both physical wellbeing and learning and we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on pupils.”

The Energy Wall is expected to become a central part of school life, supporting both active playtimes and structured lessons while helping pupils develop important skills in a fun and environmentally conscious way.
