One of Bath’s best-loved independent bookshops is inviting families, book lovers and visitors to join a free weekend of celebrations as it marks its 20th birthday.
Mr B’s Emporium of Reading Delights will host its 20th Birthday Weekend on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June, with a packed programme of activities, special guests and prizes designed to thank customers for supporting the award-winning business over the past two decades.

The celebrations will transform both the bookshop and its offices opposite into what organisers describe as an indoor street party, complete with pop-up stalls, family-friendly activities, lucky dip prizes and opportunities to meet members of the team behind the famous Bath bookshop.
Visitors can browse a variety of pop-up stalls while enjoying the festive atmosphere throughout the weekend. There will also be special activities on the Sunday, alongside a raffle offering the chance to win unique T-shirts signed by multiple authors.

Founded in 2006 by Nic and Juliette Bottomley, Mr B’s has become one of the UK’s most celebrated independent bookshops, attracting readers from across the country and earning numerous awards for its innovative approach to bookselling and customer experiences.
The free event forms part of a milestone year for the business and offers families a chance to discover new books, meet fellow readers and enjoy a lively community celebration in the heart of Bath.
Organisers are encouraging visitors to drop in across the weekend to help celebrate the shop’s 20-year journey and join in the festivities.
