Families visiting Bath during the summer holidays can enjoy free face painting, giant bubbles and colourful entertainment as SouthGate Bath launches its new Midweek Magic event series.
Taking place every Tuesday throughout August from 11am to 3pm, the free sessions will be held beneath SouthGate Bath’s vibrant Secret Forest canopy.
The garden party-inspired programme will offer activities for children and families taking a break from shopping, spending a day in the city or looking for something free to enjoy during the school holidays.
Children will be able to transform into their favourite characters with the help of a face painter, while giant bubble performances will take place at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.
The performances will fill the Secret Forest with enormous bubbles, providing plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy the spectacle and capture some memorable summer photographs.
The Tuesday events will take place on 4, 11, 18 and 25 August.
SouthGate Bath will also hold a special Bath Pride edition of Midweek Magic on Saturday 22 August.
Alongside the popular bubbleologist and face painter, the additional event will feature a vibrant rainbow theme in celebration of Bath Pride and the wider festivities taking place across the city.
The colourful session has been designed to bring visitors of all ages together and add to the celebratory atmosphere in Bath city centre.

“We’re also excited to be marking Bath Pride, joining the wider celebrations taking place across the city with a colourful event that’s designed to bring people together and add to the atmosphere.”
Midweek Magic takes place at SouthGate Bath every Tuesday throughout August from 11am to 3pm. The additional Bath Pride event will be held on Saturday 22 August.
All the activities are free to enjoy and no advance booking is required.
