We all have our favourite Bath restaurants. For my family, the best Indian cuisine has to be Bandook, Pintxo takes the top spot for tapas and, when it comes to pizza, it has to be Bath Pizza Co.
For a recent family outing – hey, it was Friday, so that means pizzas – our latest visit to Bath Pizza Co certainly didn’t disappoint.

There’s a friendly, busy and bouncy atmosphere across the outdoor terraces at Green Park Station, with the ever-helpful waiting staff quick to find us a table, offer the menus and take our drinks orders.
One of the great things about having three teenagers is that there’s no longer any need for highchairs or wet wipes to deal with spillages. Instead, it’s now simply a matter of deciding who is driving so everyone else can enjoy a refreshing beer or cocktail.
Fortunately, the drinks selection at Bath Pizza Co is superb. Our table soon featured beers on tap, an Aperol Spritz and a Coke as we settled in and decided what to order.
A refreshed summer menu
Bath Pizza Co and neighbouring Green Park Brasserie have recently launched a refreshed menu for the summer season and beyond, featuring a new selection of small plates, light bites and spritzes.

The new dishes sit alongside the restaurants’ longstanding favourites, including award-winning pizzas, burgers, salads and pasta dishes.
Among chef Jonah Poles’ summer recommendations are roasted Padron peppers with sea salt and olive oil, mozzarella and basil arancini served with San Marzano tomatoes and flame-grilled chicken wings in Korean barbecue sauce.
Other additions include prosciutto crudo with Italian pickles and sourdough breadsticks, and Sexy Fries topped with 24-hour brisket, chipotle mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, cheddar and Cajun seasoning.

There’s also a generously loaded grilled chicken burger featuring chicken breast, smoked streaky bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, sweet chilli sauce, pickles and garlic mayonnaise.
The terraces are an ideal place to try the new dishes while watching the world go by, particularly alongside the £6 spritz menu, which includes Aperol and elderflower options.
It is also worth keeping an eye on the special offers available throughout the week, including Bottomless Prosecco and Pizza, happy hours and regular live music sessions.
Returning to old favourites
As regular visitors, we were already pretty familiar with the main pizza menu. However, it is always worth taking another look, with new dishes being added and weekly specials offering something different.
For this visit, though, we were sticking with a combination of old favourites plus something new.

Our order included a pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni, a Margherita with extra peppers and a DIY ‘Make it yours’ creation topped with artichokes, capers and goat’s cheese, and the special of the day – Pizza Iberica, with creamy fior di latte, mozzarella, crushed tomatoes, chorizo, sweetcorn, red onions and jalapenos.
Of course, there were extras too, including the gorgeous roasted Padron peppers and three helpings of fries to share around the table.
Despite it being a busy Friday evening, the pizzas arrived in good time and they were excellent – in fact, really excellent. The bases were perfectly cooked, the pizzas came with generous amounts of toppings and the tomato sauce was rich, tasty and tangy. Every pizza was hugely enjoyed, with the few slices left over popped into boxes and taken home for later.
A great choice for group celebrations
I had also visited Bath Pizza Co just a week or so earlier for a company party, when 12 of us enjoyed the same high level of friendly and efficient service. In fact, it was such a success that we’re considering making it a regular outing!

The restaurant is a particularly good venue for larger gatherings, celebrations and work events, with an upstairs room available for private functions.
It is always good to try somewhere different and discover a new favourite. However, when you know a restaurant consistently hits the mark and that the whole family will leave happy, there is plenty to be said for returning to an old reliable.
With its lively atmosphere, excellent pizzas, welcoming staff and appealing new summer menu, Bath Pizza Co remains firmly at the top of our family’s pizza list.
