Snapdragons Academy has been named among the UK’s leading apprenticeship employers after being ranked 21st in The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers 2026.
The academy, which is part of the Snapdragons Nursery group, supports career development across the organisation’s ten nurseries in Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire.
The annual rankings, compiled by High Fliers Research, recognise employers that show a strong commitment to apprenticeships and workforce development. They take into account areas including apprenticeship starts, diversity, achievement rates and investment in developing future talent.
For Snapdragons Academy, the recognition reflects its work to create high-quality career pathways within childcare and early years education, supporting apprentices as they develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to build rewarding careers.
The ranking also highlights the importance of apprenticeships within the early years sector, offering opportunities for people to earn while they learn, gain recognised qualifications and progress within a growing profession.
Liz Fletcher, Academy Manager at Snapdragons Academy, said, “We are delighted to be recognised as one of the UK’s top apprenticeship employers. This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our apprentices, mentors and teams across the organisation, who are committed to nurturing talent and creating opportunities for people to build rewarding careers.”
Snapdragons Academy’s position at number 21 places it alongside major national employers recognised for their apprenticeship programmes.
The achievement reinforces the academy’s role as a leading employer in education and childcare, as well as its ongoing commitment to investing in people and developing the next generation of skilled early years professionals.
