Pupils at King Edward’s School (KES), Bath are celebrating an outstanding set of A-Level results, with 88% of all entries awarded A*-B grades.
More than half of all grades – 58% – were awarded at A*/A, while a quarter of entries achieved the highest A* grade. The school also recorded an overall pass rate of 100%. Across the Year 13 cohort, 55 pupils achieved at least three A*/A grades, with 10 securing three or more A*s.
The results continue a strong run of A-Level performances at KES, where the average proportion of A*-B grades over the past five years stands at more than 87%.
Pupils are now preparing for a wide range of next steps, including places at universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, the London School of Economics, Durham, St Andrews, Warwick, UCL, Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol.
Others will be taking up places on Medicine and Dentistry courses, degree apprenticeships with major UK employers and courses at RADA, while some are heading to leading American universities on elite sporting pathways.
Headmaster Martin Boden said, “These fantastic results are a credit to the pupils and to the staff and parents who have supported them along their journeys.

“The statistics will never truly show the full stories behind these, but I do know that we have many happy pupils who have been rewarded not just for their exceptional talents but also for years of consistent effort; their success is fully deserved, and I am delighted for everyone involved.”
The results follow a successful year for KES, which was named the 2026 Independent Secondary School of the Year in the South West by The Sunday Times and Best Value Independent School in the South West by The Telegraph.
The school also received a strong ISI inspection report during the spring term, with inspectors describing pupils as “curious, resilient, kind, compassionate and responsible members of the school community”.
KES has wished its departing Year 13 pupils well as they prepare to begin the next stage of their education, careers and training.
