Students at Kingswood School are celebrating another excellent set of A-Level and BTEC results, with almost half of all A-Level grades awarded at A*-A.
The nearly 140-strong Class of 2026 achieved 79% of grades at A*-B, taking the school’s five-year A-Level average to 82% A*-B. BTEC students also recorded strong results, with 89% of all grades awarded at Distinction or Distinction*.
A quarter of students achieved a clean sweep of A*-A grades, while 14 departments recorded more than 80% of grades at A*-B, with high achievement across sciences, humanities and the creative arts.
The vast majority of students are now preparing to take up places at their first-choice universities. All seven of Kingswood’s Oxbridge offers have been secured, alongside eight offers for Medicine or Veterinary Science.
Students will also be heading to Russell Group and Times Top 20 universities, as well as taking up places on performing arts courses and apprenticeship pathways.
The results follow further external recognition for Kingswood’s approach to education. The school was recently Highly Commended in the Independent School of the Year Awards and previously won the Talk Education award for Thinking Beyond the Curriculum for its Advanced Elective Programme.
For the second year running, Kingswood also received the Daily Telegraph’s Very Good Value rating, awarded to only three schools in Bath.
