Pupils at Monkton Combe School are celebrating an exceptional set of A Level results, with the school recording its strongest exam performance since the pandemic.
More than 72% of all grades were awarded at A* to B, with strong performances recorded across a broad range of subjects.
Academic achievement was also reflected in individual UCAS point totals, with 11 pupils achieving more than 168 UCAS points each – equivalent to three A* grades at A Level.
Strong results across sciences and languages
Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Physics and Psychology departments recorded an average of 75% A* to B grades.
Among the individual successes was one pupil who achieved four A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Courses across Art and Design also performed strongly, with 86% of grades awarded at A* to B. This included one pupil who achieved three A*s in Graphics, Photography and Textiles.
There was further success in languages, with French, German and Spanish achieving a combined 100% A* to B grade rate.
