Students at Royal High School Bath, GDST are celebrating another year of impressive Sixth Form results, with A-Level students joining their International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP) peers in marking the next stage of their education.
Across both pathways, 53% of all grades were awarded at A or A* or the IB equivalent, while almost 90% were at A*-C. IB Diploma students achieved an average score of 37 points.
Students have secured places on a wide variety of courses at leading universities in the UK and overseas, including History at Oxford, Medicine, Engineering, Business, Fashion, Environmental Science and International Law.
The school said the results reflected the breadth of its Sixth Form, where students can choose between specialising through A-Levels or studying the wider IB Diploma Programme.
Celebrating individual achievements
Among this year’s successes is Head Girl Jemima, who will read History at the University of Oxford, where her sister Elouisa is currently in her third year studying Medicine.
Deputy Head Girl Megan, who has attended Royal High since Nursery, achieved AAA and will take a gap year before university. She has also received a GDST travel award which will enable her to contribute to conservation and community projects in Zimbabwe.
Hilda, who joined Royal High in Year 7 from China, achieved three A*s and two As and has secured a place to study Economics at King’s College London.
Students also combined their studies with achievements in sport and the arts. Immy, a Sports Scholar and international netball player representing Northern Ireland, balanced her academic work with competing at a high level, while Music Scholar Stella achieved top grades alongside a distinction in her Music Diploma.
For Daisy, Megan and Tilly, results day also marked the end of a journey which began when they started together at Royal High Nursery.
Celebrating the power of sisterhood
Royal High said the achievements of the Class of 2026 extended beyond examination results, with students contributing to sport, music, drama, community service and student leadership throughout their time at the school.

They have championed one another, led with integrity and contributed enormously to our community. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and excited to see the impact they will make in the future.”
