Young people aged 18 to 21 across Bath & North East Somerset who are currently not in education, employment or training are being invited to join a free six-week digital media course at Radio Bath.
The Youth Guarantee Trailblazer Programme – Introduction to Digital Media Skills has been designed to help young adults who may be unsure about their next step develop practical skills, build confidence and gain experience that could help them move towards employment, an apprenticeship or further education.
Parents, carers and mentors are also being encouraged to make young people aware of the opportunity and support them in applying.

The programme takes place inside Radio Bath, giving participants the chance to learn in a working community radio environment alongside experienced broadcasters and content creators.
Over the six weeks, young people will learn about radio, podcast and video production, including how to plan, record and edit content. They will also explore social media content creation and develop communication, presentation and teamwork skills.
Employability support forms another key part of the programme, with sessions covering CV and cover letter writing, interview preparation and workplace skills.
Participants will also meet representatives from a recruitment agency for professional advice and take part in an Employers Forum, where local employers will explain what they look for when recruiting new members of staff.
The programme aims to provide an alternative to a traditional classroom setting, with young people using professional equipment and producing content for real audiences. It is particularly aimed at those who may feel stuck or disconnected from conventional education and employment routes, providing a structured and supportive environment in which they can develop skills and consider their options for the future.
There are no exams, no previous digital media experience is required and the course is completely free.
To be eligible, participants must be aged 18 to 21, live in Bath & North East Somerset and currently be not in education, employment or training.
