An amazing weekend exploring the vehicles, weapons and military life experienced by many during World War II featuring vehicles from the Reserve Collection alongside those from private collectors and enthusiasts from around the country, re-enactment groups, and individuals retelling the history and stories of those who lived through World War II.

Free, drop-in sessions to create your own special REME-inspired vehicle from recycled materials. No booking necessary, suitable for all ages and artistic abilities. There will also be an assault course (weather dependent) where you can challenge yourself to complete the miniature army-style course, supervised by serving REME soldiers.

A fun-filled open day across the Museum grounds, including the galleries and garden spaces combining parts of previous Armed Forces Day events with a traditional Summer Fete, in an exciting day out for all the family. Bringing the amazing world of Sci-Fi and its multiple universes to life at the Museum in an unforgettable day out. The day will feature iconic memorabilia from Sci-Fi franchises including Star Wars, Dr Who, Star Trek and more; fantastical atmosphere created by 'real life' creatures from Sci-Fi worlds, special guest appearances, autograph signing and photo opportunities; merchandise for sale; Cosplay and prop displays.

Annual 'Military and Transport' themed model show in this family friendly event. The day will feature IMPS (UK) Modelling Clubs from across the country showcasing military and transport-related models, remote-controlled tank displays, opportunities to buy modelling kits from clubs and trade stands; as well as entry to the Museum and display from the Museum’s own model collection.
