Keynsham and District Mencap Society is a self-funded charity that provides social opportunities for children and adults with learning disabilities. It runs none clubs throughout the week covering all age groups.
Super Saturday club is for children and young people ages 5-18 and takes place on a Saturday morning (term time only) from the Aspire Academy, Frome Road, Bath. It offers vital social opportunities for children at the weekend including games, sports, arts and crafts, theme mornings, zumba, dance, music and so much more!
The society is looking for a new club leader to run its super Saturday club alongside a deputy club leader and a volunteer team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, previous experience of working with children and young people with additional needs, and exciting ideas on how to engage children in play and stimulating activities.
Duties include planning, setting up and delivering social and recreational activities for club members, producing a programme of activities for each term in a stimulating, safe and positive environment, and to supervise and support the volunteer team.
Hours are Saturdays 9.30am – 12.30pm (Term time only) plus paid preparation time.
£12.61ph (6 hours a week)
