One event on 11th May 2020 at 3:30 pm

Chippenham Museum is working with Wiltshire Council and Chippenham Local Youth Network to offer the young people of the area a fantastic opportunity to learn how to stay safe online.

The Stay Safe Initiative CIC will be running a series of free internet safety interactive ‘Virtual’ presentations for young people who are home-schooled or due to the current COVID-19 situation are learning from home.

With us all being urged to stay in, we know lots of young people are seeking social connections and entertainment through digital means. These sessions will allow them to safely navigate their rapidly growing digital lives, covering cyber-bullying, cyber-strangers (online grooming), social media, gaming and more. The 90 minute sessions will be fully interactive for the young people and it is recommended that parents/carers join in as well.

Session for 7—10 years at 1pm and 10—14 years at 3.30pm.
