La Boheme at Wookey Hole

Performed by Somerset Opera and sung in English. Set at the start of World War II in Somerset, La Bohème follows the lives of a group of young artists and friends as they struggle to make ends meet. When the poet Rodolfo falls in love with his neighbour Mimì, their romance blossoms against a backdrop of fun, friendship and fleeting happiness – but fate soon takes a darker turn. With soaring arias, powerful duets and sweeping ensembles, this is opera at its most emotional and accessible.
