Days of playful exploration, connecting with trees through sound creativity.
Outdoor wellbeing walks with gentle yoga, designed for families to unwind together beneath the trees. Pre book to avoid disappointment on the day. Wellbeing walks will run at allocated timeslots throughout the day, with sessions suitable for different ages.
An informative discovery day about free-living honeybees and their lives led by members of the Natural Beekeeping Trust. Step into the observation hide to watch bees at work, try bee puzzles and challenges to enter the prize draw, and create bee crafts to take home. Suitable for ages 3+ years.
Make a variety of instruments from woodland materials, including a frog stick, rain maker and seed shaker, then try the sound challenges using your instruments, creating a soundtrack as frog goes on a woodland adventure. Suitable for ages 4+ years.
Guided walks that venture off the beaten path, encouraging families to explore the arboretum through smell, touch, sound and sight. Sessions run 10.30am–12pm and 1.30–3pm.
