Billie the Mouse and her Family at Beckford’s Tower
Billie the Mouse and her family are spending the summer in Beckford’s garden. They heard that there is lots of conservation work happening at the moment so have come to help. Come and say hello and see all the jobs the mice have to do in the summer. See if you can help them with their jobs and perhaps tempt them to play in this free self-led children’s activity.

Families will have an opportunity to find out about the conservation work at Beckford’s Tower and learn how to care for objects themselves. There will be six different activities on offer each week, to put conservation skills into action: Object care and preservation, Archaeology dig, Scavenger hunt, Make a clay creature, Stonemasonry carving and Build your own tower. No booking required; free drop-in activity days.

Heritage Open Day at Beckford’s Tower

Mosaic Clay Snails and Wooden Crafty Creatures at Beckford’s Tower
Get inspired by nature using log slices, clay and pegs to create beetles, bugs, bees, butterflies and a shiny mosaic snails. The workshop will take place in the paddocks of Beckford’s Towe (the Tower remains closed). Suitable for ages 5+ years; sessions run 10-11am, 11:30am- 12:30pm and 1:30-2:30pm. Free event but advanced reservation essential.
