The University of Bath is running a research project looking to understand how mums manage balancing their own emotional reactions whilst also looking after their baby. This research will help understand ways mums can be better supported.
As part of the project, the university is looking for input from mums who have had a baby in the last 12 months. There will be some questionnaires to complete, an audio clip to listen to, a written task (on the laptop) and a brief video to watch. In total it will take about 45-60 minutes.
Plus, everyone who takes part will have the option to be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 gift voucher.
This research is taking place until the end of February 2017. It will be held in the developmental labs in 10 West Psychology building, University of Bath. Participants must be a mother who has a baby under the age of 12 months. While the study does not involve the baby, mothers are welcome to bring the baby along and there is a play mat and toys available.
All information and data provided will remain strictly confidential and all reports will be anonymised. This research has been approved by the Department of Psychology Ethics Committee (Ref 14-239)
