Mum of two Briony test a new infant gym that transforms into a play teepee
The Infantino Grow-With-Me Gym Teepee has become a firm favourite in our house. While my five-month-old enjoys kicking about and playing with the mobile, his two-year-old sister thinks it’s her new den. They have even (for a short time) managed to play under it together!
The teepee is described as a ‘multi-functional play area’ that is suitable for newborn to three years olds. The descriptions continues, ‘As babies begin to crawl, one side of the gym can be closed to create a crawl tunnel and for toddlers, the gym’s sides unfold to create a fun space to play and let little imaginations run wild.’
From a practical perspective, I like the fact that I can lie under it with my children, which is nearly impossible to do with a conventional baby gym, while the fabrics are bright and colourful, which the children like. It was also very easy to put up and folds flat very easily, so when it isn’t being used it doesn’t take up a huge amount of space. The other bonus with it being tall, you can also pick it up and move it without having to bend over, which is definitely a plus point when you a baby on your shoulder!
