The Trowbridge Learning Centre has launched free workshops for families to offer help keep children entertained over the summer and to prepare them for starting primary school in September 2019.
For first workshop is for parents and carers who are struggling for ideas on how to keep your children entertained on a budget. This free workshop will provide plenty of ideas for you to take away and use at home for children aged 3 – 11. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other parents and swap tips!
Children are welcome to attend, but will remain the responsibility of their parents and carers at all times.
The workshop takes place on Monday 15 July from 9.30-10.30am at The Mead Primary School, Hilperton BA14 7GN.
The second workshop is for parents and carers of children who are starting primary school in September 2019. In this free workshop, ex-primary school headteacher Christine will tell you everything you need to know about your child’s first few weeks and months at school.
No matter which school they are joining, there are key things your child will need to be able to do. The summer break is the perfect time to practise important tasks and in this workshop, Christine will provide top practical tips for getting yourself, and your child, ready for that all-important first day at school.
You don’t need to bring anything with you, just come along to hear from Christine and ask any questions you might have.
The workshop takes place on Wednesday 10 July from 2-3pm at The Mead Primary School, Hilperton BA14 7GN
