News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

This Autumn, outdoor play pioneers Swainswick Explorers will be leading Friday playwalks for pre-schoolers and their parents, in the beautiful woodland grounds surrounding The Paragon School. The creative journeys will take you through woods, up hills, exploring natural playgrounds and streams, letting little imaginations run wild.

“The Playwalks are open to all, and are a lovely opportunity to meet other families whilst enjoying the great outdoors at your pre-schoolers pace,” said Jess Morris from Swainswick Explorers. “The sessions will operate on October 4, 11, 18 and November 8, 15, 22 and 29, whatever the weather, so don’t forget waterproofs and wellies, or sun cream and sun hats depending on the season. The cost is £5 per session per family bookable here. Sessions run from 9.30 prompt – 10.30am, with drinks and snacks until 11am.

“The sessions are aimed at children up to the age of five, but older siblings are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or carer for the duration of the session. Bring a nut free snack and hot and cold drinks will be provided at the end of the session.”
