This Christmas, Bath Philharmonia presents a double bill of film classics on the big screen at The Bath Forum.
Alongside The Snowman, they will be giving the first ever live performance of ‘Rupert & The Frog Song’ featuring Sir Paul McCartney’s massive hit ‘We All Stand Together’. The song was released in November 1984 and reached number 3 in the UK charts.
The video was released simultaneously and became the biggest selling video of 1985 as well as being nominated for the ‘Best Music Video – Short Forum’ at the Grammy Awards in 1986.
A 40-strong orchestra – accompanied by guest singers and choir – will skilfully play along to the animation on screen.
It wouldn’t be Christmas with The Snowman. Once again, the orchestra perform’s Howard Blake’s score live to Raymond Briggs’ animated masterpiece for a moment of charm and beauty in the run up to the holiday season. The perfect way for the whole family to start the festive season!
