The Lookout Day Nursery is opening in April 2020, offering a beautiful setting for children aged 2-5 years among the Wiltshire countryside of Monkton Farleigh.
The nursery is perfectly placed for families in Batheaston, Bathford and the surrounding villages, as well as parents coming from the Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge area travelling to work. Its rural setting is purposefully designed for just 24 children, making it small enough to nature each child’s individual needs and interests but big enough to have the knowledge and ambition to inspire the children that anything is possible…
“At The Lookout we nurture, care for and inspire children 51 weeks of the year, from 7.30am – 6.30pm,” explained owner, Charlotte Forrester. “We are also offer breakfast, after-school and holiday club, with pick ups from Monkton Farleigh and Atworth Schools. Our holiday club will be open to children for children from all schools, from Reception to Y6, and will be outdoor focused, with woodland crafts, cooking and adventures.
“What makes us different? We love the outdoors. Children can wander, climb, splash, run, imagine or just dream in our specially designed outdoor spaces. We strongly believer that whatever can be achieved indoors, can also be achieved outside too! Our free-flow ethos means children have free access to the indoor space and garden and outdoor areas throughout the day.
“We also believe that learning is fun, messy, indoors, outdoors, quiet, together, explorative, child-led and free. The early years are a magical time and we harness every child’s individual sparkle! We nurture that seed of magic with love and care to inspire every individual child.
“We believe in family, and this is why we have chosen to work with key families, meaning that children young and old can learn together. The older children relish the responsibly of helping out, while the younger children have role models to aspire to.
