The Mayor of Bath, Councillor Manda Rigby, is inviting entries to an open photographic competition, with the theme Memories of Bath, Lonely in Lockdown. Her theme for the year is Combating Loneliness, Bath the Friendly City, and she is keen to receive your memories from the last few months.
There are three categories, age 11 and under, age 12-18, and 19 and above. The competition is aimed at all who reside, work, or study in the City of Bath, and hopes to complement the work of the Bath Record Office’s Corona Captured project, in creating a lasting memory of this time.
“Many more people have been isolated or suffered from loneliness over this period,” said Manda. “There have also been many communities coming together to combat this. I am looking forward to seeing any photos which encapsulate your experience of loneliness in this time.”
Entries will be accepted until the 31 July 2020 by email to email hidden; JavaScript is required Please include in the subject title ‘Photo Competition’ and your ‘Age Group’. Remember to include your name and a caption for your photo, which will be added to an Exhibition on the web site. One entry per person, JPEG file size limit of 2MB.
