Bath College is running two free online Educating Your Kids At Home courses, offering advice on ways of keeping the kids on track and motivated as well as ways of not beating yourself up or setting yourself unachievable goals.
The courses are run by a qualified teacher and counsellor, and take place on Tuesday 19 and 26 January, or 2 and 9 February from 7-9pm. They are free for anyone over the age of 19 and will be delivered via Zoom, so while a laptop is preferable, a smart phone or tablet are also suitable.
“Our Educating Kids course has been designed to help parents with the nightmare of home schooling that we’ve all been thrown into,” said Kelly Vaughan-Watkins from Bath College. “The tutor is a qualified teacher as well as a counsellor with years of experience, and will be looking at ways to keep children motivated and interested, all while making sure you don’t beat yourself up about what you are or are not achieving.”
