MarshFest 2021, which took place on 11 September at Marshfield Cricket Club, raised in excess of £7,000 for local causes, including Marshfield Primary School PTA.
The family-friendly festival was held at Marshfield Cricket Club and featured six live bands, locally sourced food and drink, and a host of family entertainment including a craft tent from award-winning Makery Kate, entertainment from Lolly Lollipop, a circus tent, Balthazar the Bubble Magician, face painting and a tug of war. Over 700 people attended, including both Marshfield locals and families from across the region.
“Thanks for the amazing amount of money raised by MarshFest – we’re so grateful,” said Claire Mooney, chair of Marshfield C of E PTA. “The PTA is currently raising funds to purchase a new shade sail for the school’s amphitheatre and to help contribute towards updating technology such as iPads. This money will be a massive help.”
“MarshFest is local, friendly, features some real talent on stage, offers loads of family fun and has tremendous food and drink to go alongside,” added Nigel Smith, co-founder of MarshFest. “We were so pleased to raise a record amount of money this year. As ever, what I most love about MarshFest is the atmosphere, the community feel and the friendly vibe. It’s designed to be selfless and is an absolute delight to be a part of.”
