Pupils at Walwayne Court School in Trowbridge enjoyed an inspiring visit from Paralympic medallist Katrina Hart as part of the Sport for Schools programme.
Katrina, who won a bronze medal as part of the T35-58 4x100m relay team at the 2012 Paralympics in London, lead each class in the school through a 10-minute circuit session, where they watched Katrina complete the circuit and then they had a go themselves. Katrina also delivered an inspiring online assembly to the school where she discussed her sporting career, showed the children her Olympic bronze medal, answered questions and explained how she got into sport.
“We were very lucky to see Katrina’s bronze medal from the London 2012 Paralympics,” said Miss Dally, the PE Lead at Walwayne Court School. “This experience has been so inspiring to all the children taking part.”
