It’s pumpkin picking time and The Rising Sun pub in Lacock is laying on some ghoulish fun for children and their parents.
From 24-29 October, children will be welcome to search the pumpkin trail for the perfect pumpkin and then carve it into ghoulish, halloweeny faces, keeping an eye for ghosts and scary creatures along the way through the Halloween field
Then once they’ve chosen their pumpkins, you can all sit down to carve and decorate the faces with the tools provided.
To add to the fun, The Rising Sun’s own team of the un-dead will be serving deliciously scary burgers, fries and beans in witches blood, Halloween pizza, pumpkin soup with spooky croutons and horror cup-cakes as part of your experience
And just in case the weather turns ghoulish too, there’s an under cover marquee to make sure everyone stays dry or requested a private pod in the garden.
Tickets must be booked in advance on 01249 730363 and are available for time slots from 12-5pm. The tickets cost £12.50 per child (under 5s £9.95), which includes the pumpkin and two courses from the scary kids menu. Plus, there’s food and drink available all day for adults, including Halloween cocktails and mulled cider.
