Todo El Mundo, which has been helping people of all ages in Bath to learn Spanish, is offering new classes for children and adults. The classes start in September, with a free trail lesson available for the children’s lessons.
Online Spanish for 4-7 year olds
Running on Tuesdays at 4pm from 12 September, these interactive small-group online Spanish classes are fun, convenient and great value for money. Classes are very interactive with plenty of games and role play which involve toys and props from home.
“The emphasis is on having fun while learning together and promoting a positive attitude to learning Spanish,” explained Katherine Mallia, the owner of Todo El Mundo. “For ages 4-7 we follow the La Jolie Ronde about the adventures of a Spanish cat and mouse with their friends who are toys.
“Seasonal topics and vocabulary with a very colourful activity book and lots of catchy songs. These lessons are great for beginners and continuing students.”

Online Spanish for 7-9 year olds
Taking place on Tuesdays at 4.30pm from 12 September, these classes follow the course Hola Pedro and Carmen, and introduce words and structures based around the weather, days, months, birthdays, alphabet, sports, clothing, parts of body, food and drink and many other familiar subjects. Suitable for complete beginners and those who have learnt some Spanish before.

Spanish for grown-ups
“Join from 11 September to make new amigos, go out for tapas and learn Spanish!” said Katherine. “We are launching a new morning beginner Spanish course at New Oriel Hall on Thursdays and new beginner and intermediate courses at Bath Academy on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
“Try these new courses and any of our other groups at beginner to advanced level to find the right class for you. Extra online classes and online platform membership are included in the fees, as well as many social events throughout the term.
“Team Todo el Mundo and I love seeing all the different faces in our classrooms (both in Bath and online) – from little ones learning Spanish through play to older kids gaining confidence through speaking Spanish aloud alone in class, plus the brave and curious adults who are new to speaking Spanish or have learnt before but want to finally master the subjunctive.
“Our values of joy, friendship and learning shine through at every class whether we are in the classroom or online, for all ages and at all levels. Friendships form effortlessly when we regularly ask each other how we are feeling, what we have been doing in between classes and listen attentively to each others opinions and points of view.
“It is also wonderful to see how all of the students, from the children to the adults, develop an awareness of other cultures and differences in linguistic expression while learning Spanish with us.”
