News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

The Museum of East Asian Art (MEAA) in Bath has announced its participation in ‘Kids Aloud’, an innovative initiative where noisy kids are encouraged to be loud! This special event, in collaboration with Art Fund, allows children to explore the museum energetically and joyfully.

The MEAA’s Kids Aloud time-slot is scheduled for every Wednesday morning during the summer holidays, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. The museum is opening an hour early exclusively for families, offering kid-friendly activities and an opportunity to enjoy the museum as loudly as they like.

“We want families to know they are always welcome at the museum, just as they are – loud and excited!” explained the MEAA’s Engagement Manager, Rose. “These dedicated time-slots are a chance for kids to explore the museum through fun activities designed just for them.

“While museums sometimes have a reputation for being quiet and formal, they are the perfect place for children to discover and fall in love with history and culture. Small museums like ours, and many others in Bath, offer kids a chance to see hidden gems and experience new things.

“As an educational charity, our mission is to make East and Southeast Asian art and culture accessible to everyone, including children!”
