Flourish at Glenavon Farm in Saltford has added a series of family craft events to its summer activities, with the first two allowing children aged 5-12 to make a range of magnets, key rings and pottery.
Summer Flower and Bug Making Workshop

Make your own flower or insect inspired magnets and keyring!
Join in at the Flourish pottery studio for some crafty fun. Make three magnets and a keyring inspired by summer flowers or native bugs and insects.
You can take along pictures of your favourite flowers or a book filled with weird and wonderful insects to use as inspiration and the expert instructors will help you to sculpt them out of clay. Once your pieces are complete, you can then use glazes to paint them any way you like. You will then glaze, fire and attach the magnet or keyring.
£35 – includes all materials, a drink and firing. This workshop is approximately two hours long, adult supervision required. Suitable for ages 5-12. All items will be ready for collection within two – three weeks.

Pet Plant Pot Workshop

Make a plant pot inspired by your pet!
Join in the beautiful pottery studio for some crafty fun. Make your own mini plant pot inspired by your pet (or favourite animal!)
Bring a picture of your chosen animal and the team will help you mould and sculpt its likeness into clay. Once the pot is complete, you can use glazes to paint the pot to look like your furry (or scaly?) friend.
