News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

The New Baby Club, hosted by The Country Midwife, is coming to Bath and will run every Wednesday during term time.

Starting from Wednesday, 11 September, The New Baby Club will take place at The Honey Café, St Swithin’s Church, Walcot, Bath, from 10am to 12 noon.

The group is designed specifically for postnatal parents with newborn or very young babies (up to five months old). It’s free to take parent, with parents encouraged to purchase their own coffee or enjoy something from the café’s delicious menu, including homemade pastries and cakes. Plus, there’s plenty of buggy parking available, making it easy to attend with little ones in tow.

“I created The New Baby Club to offer a welcoming, supportive space for new parents to connect, share advice, and simply feel part of a community,” said Esthea Wortham, The Country Midwife. “Parenting can be challenging and it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m excited to see The New Baby Club become a little haven for parents in Bath.

“In addition to the friendly atmosphere, I’ll be on hand to offer guidance and support with early parenting challenges, including feeding and sleep difficulties. These conversations could help mothers feel more supported and may lead to them booking their own one-to-one postnatal sessions in the comfort of their own home for more tailored help.
