The Percy Community Centre in Bath in a great venue for all manner of activities, events and spaces for hire – including its own recording studio! Here’s a rundown of some of the excellent activities that it offers each week.

Wutan Kick Boxing for Children
5:45pm – 6:30pm
Wutan Kick boxing is a friendly club that caters for all different needs and abilities. Its aim is to provide a fresh approach to teaching that will inspire you to get the best from each and every class. Whether you’re interested in competing at tournaments, or just losing weight and getting fit, these classes can be tailored to fit around each person, to give you exactly what you want from kick boxing.

Little Piccolos
9:45am – 11:45am
***TERM TIME ONLY***Little piccolos are specialist music classes run by musicians for three months to five years. Each 30 minute class is entirely acoustic with engaging original songs to learn and sing together. Children spend time moving to music, playing high quality instruments, using colourful props for a fun and considered sensory experience. And not forgetting exciting puppets including Scales the dragon!
Diane Lee Yoga Class
10am – 11am & 5.30-6.30pm
Hatha is the general term for all Yoga styles. This is a gentler form, based on movement with the breath and body awareness.

Headway – Rehabilitation programme for brain injury suffered
9am – 1pm
Headway Bath & District offer relief, rehabilitation and support to individuals who have suffered an acquired brain injury, along with their carers and families.
Swallow: Life skills for people with learning disabilities
9am-3pm
Support for people with learning disabilities – sessions include, art, drama as well as teaching skills such as cookery and life skills to help build confidence and self worth.

Percy Youth Group (FREE)
6-8.30pm
The Percy Youth Project runs an open access ‘drop in’ night of activities every Tuesday and Thursday from 6.00 to 8.30 pm. Highlights include table-tennis, football, photography, cookery, table-football, skateboarding, darts, plus music and video production and recording in a fully equipped studio.
The environment is friendly and lively and we are very proud of our facilities, many of which were created from funding raised by the young people who attend the project. Young people have designed the space and decided how it is used from start to finish, making it the way they want while still being well-integrated with the wider activities of the Centre. There are many opportunities to get involved and make decisions about the way the project runs, including choosing the trips and activities.
Diane Lee – Hot Yoga
6:15pm – 7:15pm
HOT Yoga class that delivers a tingly feeling of strength and power that will flow from your crown to your toes! Through holding the asanas (poses) you move fluidly from one pose to another while connecting with the breathing (Vinyasa). The speed of the Vinyasas is down to your ability and that makes this practice open to everyone regardless of the level of fitness and strength. Yoga helps to detox, boost your immune system, cardiovascular health and muscle strength.
Flamenco Dance Classes with Maria Christina
7-8pm
Come and learn the most popular and well-known Spanish art form – Flamenco. Lessons are very social, fun and cultural. Feeling the joy of dance unites everybody!

Friday
Percy Bumps and Babies Breast Feeding Group
1:30 – 3:30pm
Our drop-in group runs every Friday between 1.30 – 3.30pm. There is no need to book to come. We offer a calm and welcoming space for you to come and meet other new parents. We put a special focus on breastfeeding, with experienced breastfeeding peer supporters and an IBCLC (accredited lactation consultant) on hand to support you with the challenges and the joys of the whole journey however this looks for you and your baby / babies. Some parents come just once to pick up some ideas, others come week on week. Whatever your situation you are welcome to come in and sit and chat. You will be offered a drink, and there is (nearly always) cake!
We are non-funded and operate through the generosity of many. If you are able, and feel inclined, you can donate to support the group. Donations go towards refreshments and resources such as books and information sheets.
