An evening of fun, games and activities will take place at the Roman Baths on Thursday 26 October to introduce the Children’s University in Bath.
The Children’s University encourages out-of-school learning, promoting life experiences, motivation, ambition and a love of learning in children aged five to 14. It was launched in Bath in May this year by a group of schools working with Bath Spa University and other local organisations. Pupils from Weston All Saints Primary School in Bath subsequently took part in a Children’s University graduation ceremony at Bath Spa University (pictured).
On the night, local museums will provide fun activities for children as they strengthen their curiosity about learning, and parents will be able to find out how to get involved regularly in the Children’s University. The event is free for Bath and North East Somerset residents with a Discovery Card.
Booking is not required. Entry will be through the main doors of the Roman Baths. Doors will open at 6pm with last admittance at 7.30pm.
The event is part of Museums Week (www.bathmuseumsweek.co.uk) and Museums at Night (http://museumsatnight.org.uk).
