Students at Saint Gregory’s in Bath were jumping for joy this morning as they celebrated their GCSE results, with 83% of students achieving five or more GCSEs at grades 9 – 4 (A*-C equivalent). The school recorded its highest ever percentage of top grades, with almost 40% all results securing grades 9-7 (A*-A equivalent).
Among the individual accomplishments, Beth C and Oliver L received a full house of the highest grades possible, securing grade 9s across all subjects. Jess C, Pollyanne L, Sarah P, Alice B, Henry B-R, Joni B, Mitzie H, John P, Naomi P, Noah R, Oliwia S, Jemima S, Edward S all achieved grades 9-7 (A*-A equivalent) in all of their GCSEs, with many continuing their academic journey through the school’s sixth form for A Levels.
Twins, Hamish and Olivia (pictured above), were thrilled to discover that, between them, they have managed to notch up a total of 18 GCSEs – all at 9-7 grade (A*-A equivalent), with almost half at the highest possible grade 9.

The students have worked incredibly hard and made the most of all the opportunities at Saint Gregory’s. I am confident they are absolutely ready for the exciting adventures and challenges that will be offered as they continue their education into our sixth form and beyond.”

Core curriculum subjects were amongst the highest achieving, with students excelling in science, mathematics and English. STEM subjects performed exceptionally well with almost 90% of sciences securing 9-4 (A*-C equivalent) grades whilst 82% of all mathematics entries were awarded grade 9-4. English students faired equally impressively with 83% of all grades at 9-4 with a quarter achieving the top results 7-9 (A*-A equivalent).
