Three Ways School in Bath is looking for volunteers to help make sensory bags that can be used to help young people to engage with story time.
The bags will help young people who have a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to engage them with the story, to learn, participate and make the stories come to life. The bags will be filled with things like soft toys, small figures, material to create water, instruments to go with the story, lights and objects to smell and touch.
Three Ways is hoping to source around 25 bags, all of which need to be washable, drawstring or fasten-able and large enough to be filled the props. They can be plain, coloured and made of any material, as long as they’re durable enough to survive being shared around the school.
