News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

16-24 year olds are being encouraged to join a special live online broadcast this week as Wiltshire Council and Youth Hub partners encourage young people to consider their next move to employment or learning.

The event on Thursday 21 January will be live from 4pm and is aimed at young people aged 16 – 24 who are currently not in education, employment or training, or who are unemployed and need inspiration to consider their next steps to employment and future learning.

Providers will share details of their local programmes or the support they can offer to young people. There will also be information on local apprenticeships. Training providers will be featured along with more information about employers planning to offer roles under the new Kick Start initiative. The interactive event will give young people a chance to ask questions directly to training providers, employers, colleges and speakers.

Wiltshire Council is hosting the online broadcast with partners including LearnLive and the Careers and Enterprise Company. As well as a chance to find out the latest opportunities, there will be the launch of the very first stage of the Wiltshire Youth Hub – a new one stop online shop for young people.

The new Youth Hub website Young Work Wiltshire – Work Wiltshire pulls together key information in one place showing how young people can access support for further learning, training and employment.
