Voices for Life, a Bath based charity, is supporting Children’s Mental Health Week (6-12 February) with the launching of a video starring BAFTA award winning, celebrity voice coaches, Carrie and David Grant along with singing from over 150 Bath and Wiltshire children!
Voices for life, a charity to help inspire children to be happy and confident through singing, is supporting this year’s children’s mental health week with the release of a video, introduced by celebrities, Carrie and David Grant. Carrie and David share how important singing is for development and mental health, and how special the experience is of singing together in a group.
“When children sing together, it does something special and creates something that will stay with them for a lifetime,” says David in the video.
Children’s Mental Health Week will take place from 6-12 February 2023. The week aims to shine a light on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. This year’s theme is Let’s Connect.
Voices for life will be sharing the video throughout the week as well as continuing its offering of workshops in Wiltshire and Bath schools. Later in the year, choirs brought together from schools across the region will be performing Stardust, a musical journey through space, in Wells Cathedral, as well as a premiering a brand-new composition, Extraordinary!, by Bath duo Jools Scott and Sue Curtis, in Bath Abbey.
Tessa Armstrong, Voices for Life Founder and Executive Director, said, “Carrie and David have been extremely supportive of the charity, and it is fantastic to be able to have them share how important they believe singing to be in helping children be happy and confident. Voices for Life are delighted to support this year’s children’s mental health week.”
