Wera Hobhouse MP welcomed students from King Edward’s School, Bath, to Parliament to tour the Palace and enjoy a workshop at the Parliamentary Education Centre.
Mrs Hobhouse joined the Bath-based A-Level Politics students from King Edward’s School for a Q&A discussion in the Parliamentary Education Centre. The students also took part in a workshop to better understand how legislation is made.
The Bath MP engaged in a lively discussion with the students from King Edward’s School about the changes they wanted to see in the local community. They spoke about ways to tackle local issues in Bath, such as considering new traffic measures. They also discussed wider national and international issues like the health and environmental impacts of disposable vapes and the need to develop the UK’s connections with Europe.
“It was a pleasure to welcome such inspiring students from King Edward’s School to Parliament and see how engaged they are with the political world around them,” said Wera.
“We have so much to learn from these bright young minds. Their passion and enthusiasm for change is extremely encouraging. I am incredibly proud to have such talent in our Bath community, and I look forward to seeing what these students go on to achieve.”
